1. Who we are

Romanburg (“Romanburg”, “we”, “us”) is a commercial property business at 12 Industry Circle, Industria, Gansbaai, 7220, Western Cape, South Africa. Romanburg is a Dynova company, managed by Dynova Group. For the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), Romanburg is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website.

2. Information Officer

Our Information Officer function is performed by Dynova Group of Management Companies. You can contact the Information Officer by emailing info@romanburg.co.za with “Attention: Information Officer” in the subject line.

3. What we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us through the enquiry form or by email:

• your full name and email address;
• your phone number, if you provide it;
• the type of enquiry and the content of your message;
• a record of your consent, and the date and time of your submission.

To protect the form from abuse, our web server temporarily processes your IP address to limit repeated submissions. It is stored only in hashed form and is deleted automatically.

4. Why we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry and, where you ask us to, to discuss leasing, sales, management or investment services with you. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use this website (for example, which pages are viewed and how long visits last). Google Analytics only sets cookies if you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you decline, or have not chosen yet, analytics cookies are not set; Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals such as the page viewed and an approximate location, which it does not link to you.

We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies. Analytics data is processed by Google as our operator and may be stored outside South Africa, under Google’s data protection terms. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser settings.

Our own website uses no other cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own server.

6. Who we share it with

Your enquiry may be shared within Romanburg and with Dynova Group, which manages Romanburg, only as needed to respond to you. Our website host, our email provider and Google (for website analytics, if you accept analytics cookies) process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We will disclose information if the law requires it.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and for any period required by law. After that it is deleted or de-identified.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated on our server and sent to a Romanburg mailbox. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

9. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access to it, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. Contact the Information Officer at the address above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) via inforegulator.org.za.

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
